SUMMARY:Intermediate 5-Day Camp August 26-30\, 2024
DESCRIPTION:Is your camper ready to move up to a higher level of horsemanship?  This camp includes more advanced riding techniques and more detailed education.   This camp is best suited for campers that are confident walking\, trotting\, steering and stopping without assistance and ages 6-12 years old. This camp is offered in a 1-day\, 3-day or 5-day format. \n\n\n\n5-day session: 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. $599* View Availability and Sign up HERE\n\n*$250.00 non-refundable deposit.  Exceptions can be made in the case of a documented medical reason.  If there is a documented medical reason you need to withdraw from camp\, there will be a total refund minus a $50.00 processing fee.  No refunds will be given for cancellation within 14 days of the registered session start date. \n\n\n\nDaily Schedule \n\n\n\n\n9:00 am Welcome to Camp!\n\n\n\n9:15 am to 10:15 am learn how to care for your horse\n\n\n\n10:15 am to 11:45 am games and horsemanship class\n\n\n\n11:45 am to 12:30 pm lunch break\n\n\n\n12:30 pm to 2:15 pm riding\, crafts and activities\n\n\n\n2:15 pm to 3:00 pm care for your horse\n\n\n\n3:00 pm pick up time\n\nEach camp includes lots of unique activities ranging from riding\, equine education\, arts and crafts\, and games. Crafts vary from camp to camp\, from picture frames with photos from camp to tie-dyed camp t-shirts and horseshoe dreamcatchers. \n\n\n \nOther activities:  Weather permitting\, campers may do a variety of activities such as nature walks\, driving miniature horses\, and outdoor games. \n\n\n \nHorsemanship: Campers will learn all about horse care\, including grooming\, proper use of equipment\, nutrition\, anatomy\, colors and breeds of horses. We do have an indoor barn and indoor arena to use in the event of inclement weather. \n\n\n \nWhat not to bring: \n\n\n \n\nNo hard candy or gum \n\n\n\nNo horse treats \n\n\n\n \nWe provide ASTM/SEI certified helmets\, which are required for all riders when mounted.  Bike helmets\, skateboard helmets\, etc. are not approved for equestrian use and are not permitted.Use of wristbandsFor the purpose of keeping campers with their groups\, we will give each camper a wristband when they arrive.  The wristband color will indicate which group they will be a part of during the day and aid our camp counselors in organizing activities.Late Drop-Off and Pick-Up PolicyIf you will be late to pick up your camper\, please contact us as soon as possible.  You are expected to pick up your child no more than 15 minutes after the end of the camp. Parent Participation PolicyThis camp is for kids only\, no parents are permitted to stay during camp hours or come back early unless it is to pick up their child before the end of the camp.  For the My First Horse Camps\, (1) parent is allowed to be with the child attending.  No other adults or children are allowed. \n\n\n \nWeather PolicyWe will be outside unless deemed necessary to be inside. We will be inside if it is actively raining\, thundering or lightening\, or if heat index is 90 degrees or above.Camp Dismissal PolicyWe want to make sure everyone at camp has a safe and positive experience. We reserve the right to dismiss any camper who violates our policy and will ask the parent to pick up their camper. A refund will not be issued in the event of a dismissal. The following behaviors are grounds for dismissal: \n\n\n \n\nDamage to any stable property\n\n\n\nEndangering themselves or those around them\, including behaviors of aggression towards another person(s)\, behaviors that spook horses (running\, screaming\, throwing objects\, etc.)\n\n\n\nDisrespect/bullying towards other campers and staff both verbally and physically\, including name-calling and hurtful language.\n\n\n\n \nSpaces are limited so please reserve a spot today by selecting a camp date and time. SUMMARY:My First Horse Camp July 25\, 2024
DESCRIPTION:This single-day camp is the perfect experience for the littlest cowboys and cowgirls.  For the My First Horse Camps\, (1) parent is allowed to be with the child attending.  No other adults or children are allowed.  This camp is best suited for campers between the ages of 4 and 6. \n\n\n \n\n1-day session 9 am to 12 pm. $140* View Availability and Sign up HERE\n\n*$80.00 non-refundable deposit.  Exceptions can be made in the case of a documented medical reason.  If there is a documented medical reason you need to withdraw from camp\, there will be a total refund minus a $50.00 processing fee.  No refunds will be given for cancellation within 14 days of the registered session start date. \n\n\n \nDaily Schedule \n\n\n \n\n9:00 am Welcome to Camp!\n\n\n\n9:15 am to 9:45 am meet the horses of Windfall\n\n\n\n9:45 am to 10:30 am games and horsemanship\n\n\n\n10:30 am to 12:00 pm riding\, crafts and activities\n\n\n\n12:00 pm pick up time\n\n\n\n \nEach camp includes lots of unique activities ranging from riding\, equine education\, arts and crafts\, and games. For children enrolling in multiple camps throughout the summer\, each camp will offer its own unique experience. \n\n\n \nHorsemanship: With one of Windfall’s qualified instructors\, our little campers will learn about horse colors\, how horses communicate with each other\, the basics of horse care\, and of course\, an introduction to how to ride a pony! Of course\, education is always more fun with games\, making it all the more memorable. \n\n\n \nArts + Crafts: Each camp is unique\, with a craft that will give each camper something to remember their experience. Crafts vary from camp to camp\, from picture frames with photos from camp to tie-dyed camp t-shirts and decorated horse shoes. \n\n\n \nOther activities:  Weather permitting\, campers may do a variety of activities such as nature walks\, driving miniature horses\, and outdoor games. \n\n\n \nWhat to bring: \n\n\n \n\nRiding Boots (Paddock boots or western boots)\n\nOpen toed shoes\, sandals\, or sneakers are not permitted\n\n\n\n\n\nLong\, well fitted pants\n\n\n\nShort or long-sleeve shirt\n\n\n\nSunscreen\n\n\n\nBug spray\n\n\n\nHair tie for long hair\n\n\n\nWater bottle\n\n\n\nSnack\n\n\n\nRecommended:\n\nSunglasses\n\n\n\nHat\n\n\n\n\n\n \nPlease consider the needs of your child and have them pack accordingly. Please note that a large portion of the day will be spent outside when possible. Campers should bring the necessary apparel to be comfortable rain or shine. We do have an indoor barn and indoor arena to use in the event of inclement weather. \n\n\n \nWhat not to bring: \n\n\n \n\nNo hard candy or gum \n\n\n\nNo horse treats \n\n\n\n \nWe provide ASTM/SEI certified helmets\, which are required for all riders when mounted.  Bike helmets\, skateboard helmets\, etc. are not approved for equestrian use and are not permitted.Use of wristbandsFor the purpose of keeping campers with their groups\, we will give each camper a wristband when they arrive.  The wristband color will indicate which group they will be a part of during the day and aid our camp counselors in organizing activities.Late Drop-Off and Pick-Up PolicyIf you will be late to pick up your camper\, please contact us as soon as possible.  You are expected to pick up your child no more than 15 minutes after the end of the camp. Parent Participation PolicyThis camp is for kids only\, no parents are permitted to stay during camp hours or come back early unless it is to pick up their child before the end of the camp.  For the My First Horse Camps\, (1) parent is allowed to be with the child attending.  No other adults or children are allowed. \n\n\n \nWeather PolicyWe will be outside unless deemed necessary to be inside. We will be inside if it is actively raining\, thundering or lightening\, or if heat index is 90 degrees or above.Camp Dismissal PolicyWe want to make sure everyone at camp has a safe and positive experience. We reserve the right to dismiss any camper who violates our policy and will ask the parent to pick up their camper. A refund will not be issued in the event of a dismissal. The following behaviors are grounds for dismissal: \n\n\n \n\nDamage to any stable property\n\n\n\nEndangering themselves or those around them\, including behaviors of aggression towards another person(s)\, behaviors that spook horses (running\, screaming\, throwing objects\, etc.)\n\n\n\nDisrespect/bullying towards other campers and staff both verbally and physically\, including name-calling and hurtful language.\n\n\n\n \nSpaces are limited so please reserve a spot today by selecting a camp date and time.
